Holiday Studio Session with My Boys:
Since Laramie experiences rather unfavorable weather conditions pretty much 9 months out of the year, Studio Sessions are at times a must! Loved setting up my holiday bokeh backdrop to get these shots of my boys.
Note the holes in the knees of my middle child’s jeans……honestly, we cannot keep jeans around here for more than a month without wearing them out. People say, “Oh you will get lots of use out of your children’s clothes since you have three boys!” But the reality is, they are pretty much worn out by the time they get to baby Denley! However, we are thankful for our healthy, rambunctious three, they keep us in stitches (and keep me SEWING stiches! Haha…ok, sorry…really bad pun!) =)
Our Favorite Holiday Cookie:
Scroll to the bottom for our favorite Molasses-Ginger-Cream Cookie recipe! My boys love rolling these in the sugar and watching them bake through the glass window in our oven. Oh, and they taste delicious…..this is by far my favorite Molasses Cookie recipe ever! They are soft and chewy and keep for longer than the average chocolate chip cookie.
It’s our own holiday tradition to make these starting in early December when I mix up a huge batch of the dough and freeze it in small portions. We love to pull it out at a moments notice when friends drop by and bake a batch in just under 15 minutes. And the way these cookies make your house smell…..well……you will just have to try them out for yourself! What is your favorite holiday tradition?
