This month’s PUSH blog circle challenge was “Cell Phone Photos.” Honestly, I have not taken the time to figure out how to use my iPhone camera very well. I don’t enjoy how little (or virtually no) control I have over exposure, focus, and depth of field. I do not enjoy how easily the highlights are blown (even after adjusting exposure). I don’t love at all that I can’t move my focus point and that my subject is often the victim of random focus. My iPhone camera and I, well, we BARELY tolerate each other, lol. However this was a good challenge for me and hopefully with more practice I will feel a little more at home with it.
iPhone shots:
My iPhone would obviously NOT be my camera of choice during a Family, Newborn, Engagement, or Senior Portrait session, but it is invaluable in a pinch to capture the little candid moments that happen throughout the day when there is no time to pull out my big camera!
Oddly enough, this out of focus shot was my FAVORITE out of this series.

I love these. I love the moodiness and I agree that last one is like a distant memory….of which my children at young ages have become….my oldest graduates this next spring and their childhood is gone just like that. Sigh…..thank you for pushing yourself Tessa. I always love coming to your site and seeing how you interpret each months challenge.
I adore the last one. A really nice capture of the light falling on the boys.
