The ideas for this photosession have been rattling around in my head for a while now. So fun to get out, even on a cold October afternoon, (and yes! it really was as cold as it looks!) and make what started out as just an idea reality!
A huge thank you to the beautiful model in these images who was willing to brave our gusty Wyoming winds and freezing temperatures! We had plenty of fun and lots of laughs but we were glad to get back to my house afterward to warm up in front of the fire with some very hot coffee! =)
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite photosessions. And as usual, I enjoyed going for a vintage look and love the melancholy, slightly spooky, sentimental mood to this session….perfect for this time of year with the end of summer and the advent of a long winter season! So love this mournful old farmhouse and all the forgotten memories stirring here. Part II of this session (The Lady of the Lake) to be posted next Monday. Hope you enjoy! Happy Autumn!

A mournful rustling in the dark.”
